Misc. Notes
Line 20 of passenger manifest (Duilio) indicates he came to stay with his uncle Nicola (sic) Ferlazzo, who at that time was living at 1905 4th Av, Brooklyn. The Duilio arrived on Christmas Day, 1924.

In 1930, he lived at 262 Cleveland? Avenue in a home he owned in River Vale, valued at $7,500. He was 29, owned a radio, and was born in New York. He is a contractor in the building industry.4

In 1940, as Carmel, he lived on Chestnut Street in Oneonta Township. He was 39, owned his home, valued at $3,500, and worked as a salesman at his own jobs, or on his own account, working about 50 hours per week. He lists his income as 0 and says he has another source of income. He lived with his wife Anne L, 42, and children Celestine, 8, and Laura, 5. He had completed college and an additional year, Anne had completed high school, and Celestine had complete first grade. Carmel and Laura were born in New York, Celestine in New Jersey, and Anne was a naturalized citizen born in Italy. In 1935, they had also lived in Oneonta. In 1940, census takers apparently asked anyone on lines 14 and 29 of each sheet supplemental questions. Anne L. Ferlazzo’s parents were each born in Italy and she spoke Italian and English growing up. She was a housewife with no SSN, and had been married once before at 19. For number of children born, not including stilbirths, she says 2.
