In 1937, as Olga C, she is listed in the Newark Directory under ‘Nurses -- Practical and Simple.’ She lives at 228 Astor.95

In 1940, she was 43 and lived in Newark at 228 Astor St. in a house she owned, and where she had lived in 1935. She worked as a nurse in a private home or institution, earning $875. She had completed high school, and possibly four years of training. She was born in Connecticut. A lodger, Betty Cusack, 20, lived with her. Miss Cusack was born in Morris, County New Jersey and worked as a clerk at a retail grocery, earning $400.
