Arrived on the SS Neustria in 1898 at age 14. Traveled with her sister Rosalia, 18, and brother-in-law Salvatore Di Dio, 35, who all came to see their brother Giuseppe. Also on the boat from Mazzarra are Rosaria Livoti and her sons Antonino and Vincenzo La Rosa.

139On February 11, 1907, returned with her husband and two US-born nephews (Tommaso’s sons) Filippo Neri and Andrea, 5 and 4, aboard the SS Cedric sailing from Naples. She is a non-immigrant alien, 23, who lived in the US 1900-1906. Destination is family at 187 Elizabeth.
In 1911, at age 27, arrived on the SS Cretic on May 5, 1911. Her relative or friend is husband Pasquale Leonti at 234 Elizabeth Street. Says she was in the US before, 1908-1910. She is stamped as a non-immigrant alien. Her contact in Italy is her father Filippo in Mazzarra.
In 1922, returned with Pasquale aboard the Giuseppe Verdi from Naples, arriving April 8. They live at 238 Elizabeth Street and were naturalized in Portsmouth, Va on May 7, 1906. Notations for passport # 86040 Hughes(?), issued in Washington on Sep. 26, 1921.
In 1920, returned with Pasquale aboard the SS M/N Vulcania from Naples, arriving March 15, 1929. They are in the naturalized column. His passport was #670898 issued in D.C. 2/4/29 and hers is #548450 issued 5/5/28. They still live at 238 Elizabeth Street.
140In 1930, as Candida Leonti, living at 21 Maplewood Ave on Staten Island with her husband and her niece Grace Livoti. They own their own home ($11,500). He is 46, she is 45, Grace is 16. He came in 1900 and she in 1898 and they are naturalized. Pasquale is the proprietor of a restaurant.
141In 1942, they still live at 21 Maplewood Avenue in Oakwood Heights on Staten Island. He is 58 and was born in Messina, Italy on May 15, 1883. His phone number is Dongan Hills 6-0433-R. His serial # is 2458, order #P296. Candida is his contact. He is self-employed with a business at 238 Elizabeth Street. He is white, 5’ 5 1/2” and 147 lbs., grey eyes, grey hair, light complexion.
