On February 11, 1907, returned with his wife and two US-born nephews Filippo Neri and Andrea, 5 and 4 (Tommaso’s sons), aboard the SS Cedric sailing from Naples. He is a non-immigrant alien, 23, who lived in the US 1900-1906. Destination is family at 187 Elizabeth.

On June 1, 1908 returned aboard the Principe di Udine from Naples. Father Giuseppe is contact at home and brother-in-law Giuseppe Livoti at 197 Elizabeth Street is the destination.

In 1919, he returned aboard the SS Columbia on July 6. He is 37, a mechanic, and left his wife behind at 1 via Solferino in Mazzarra. Says he lived in New York from 1900-1917 and is going to join his sister Angela at 234 Elizabeth Street. He is 5’6”, good complexion, brown hair and blue eyes, scar on the right temple. Born in Mazzarra.

A passport application shows he was issued passport #86040 on Sep. 26, 1921 in Washington. He says he was born on May 15, 1883 in Mazzarra Sant’Andrea, that his father’s name is Giuseppe, and that his father lives in Messina. He says he left for the US from Naples on/around October 18, 1900 and lived for 21 years in the US in NYC and was naturalized by the Supreme Court in the Commonwealth of Virginia in Portsmouth on May 7, 1906. His permanent residence is 238 Elizabeth Street where he is a janitor, and he has never had a passport before. They are going to Italy to visit parents and to the British Isles, France, Switzerland, and Gibraltar for travel, leaving on the Dante Aligheri on Sep. 30, 1921.151

Pasquale is described as 38, 5’4”, medium forehead, blue eyes, medium nose, mustached, long chin, dark brown hair, fair complexion and oval face. Antonio Cassata, a chauffeur who lives at 240 Elizabeth Street, bears witness, saying he’s known him for 10 years. 151

In 1922, returned with Candida aboard the Giuseppe Verdi from Naples, arriving April 8. They live at 238 Elizabeth Street and were naturalized in Portsmouth, Va on May 7, 1906. Notations for passport # 86040 Hughes(?), issued in Washington on Sep. 26, 1921.

In 1929, returned with Candida aboard the SS M/N Vulcania from Naples, arriving March 15, 1929. They are in the naturalized column. His passport was #670898 issued in D.C. 2/4/29 and hers is #548450 issued 5/5/28. They still live at 238 Elizabeth Street.140

In 1942, they still live at 21 Maplewood Avenue in Oakwood Heights on Staten Island. He is 58 and was born in Messina, Italy on May 15, 1883. His phone number is Dongan Hills 6-0433-R. His serial # is 2458, order #P296. Candida is his contact. He is self-employed with a business at 238 Elizabeth Street. He is white, 5’ 5 1/2” and 147 lbs., grey eyes, grey hair, light complexion.142
