In 1900, he is at the US Navy Yard in Cavite in the Philippine Islands aboard the USS New Orleans. He is an ‘ordinary seaman’ from Collinsville, Massachusetts. He is 21 and was born December 1878 in ‘Canada French,’ as were his parents. He emigrated in 1879, has been in the US 21 years, and is naturalized.218

In 1904, he is naturalized at Police Court in Lowell, Massachusetts. He lived at 122 Lakeview Avenue in Dracut. His date of birth is given as December 22, 1878.

In 1910, he is at the US Navy Yard in Solano County, CA aboard the USS West Virginia. He is 31, single, and a boat mate. He was born in French Canada to French Canadian parents, and naturalized in 1885.219

In 1920, he is aboard the USS Bath in Norfolk, VA. He is a Chief Br...? Mate and lists his home as Charleston, Wa (no street address). He is 41, single, and says he emigrated and was naturalized in 1904. He was born in Canada and speaks English; same for parents. Lists occupation as sailor.

In 1930, he’s 52 and lives in Chico (near Bremerton) with his wife Clara, 35, and stepdaughter Dorothy, 9. He owns his own home, valued at $2500, and has a radio. He emigrated 1897 and is naturalized. His age at his first marriage was 47. Record says he and his father were born in French Canada, and his mother in Maine. He doesn’t work.220

In August of 1931, returned to the US (departing from Southampton, arriving New York) on the SS Mauretania with Clara and Dorothy. He is 52, Clara is 37 and born in Seattle, and Dorothy is 11 and born in Chicago, California (sic). He lists their address as RFD 1 in Washington, DC. He was naturalized in Superior Court in “Lowell Wash DC,” PP389551 in July of 1904.221 There is also a separate entry for them arriving in the UK (Southampton) in July from Cherbourg and Plymouth. He lists his occupation as a rancher.222
