In 1881, Luc and his wife Agnes live in St. Cˆ©lestin, near Luc’s family. He is 31 and works as a cultivateur. Agnes is 29, Mary is 8, Henrie is 7, Anny is 4, Arvey is 3, and Emile is 8/12.

In 1900, at age 50, living in a rented house on Lakeview Avenue in the west part of Dracut Town, Massachusetts with his wife Agnes, 47, and children Emile, 19, Willie, 10, Mary Flavin, 26, Annie, 22, grandson Willie Flavin, 3, and nephews Earnest, 26, and Benjamin Eli, 22, and niece Bermeline Eli, 23. He has been married 29 years and they have had 6 of 9 children survive. Mary has been married 5 years and 1 of 4 has survived. The Elis have each been married 1 year, Bermeline has had no children.99

Luke and Agnes are French Canadian, as were their parents. Everyone but Willie Houle, Willie Flavin, and the Elis emigrated from French Canada in 1880, has been in the US 20 years, and are still aliens. The two Willies were born in Massachusetts, Earnest and Benjamin Eli emigrated in 1892 and are still aliens, and Bermeline was born in New Hampshire. Luke is a shoemaker (a note says cobbler) and has not been unemployed this year. He rents. Everyone but Willie Flavin can read and write, and speak English. Emile works as a woollen mill spinner, Mary works at woollen mill drawing in and has been unemployed 6 months, Annie is a dressmaker, Benjamin and Bermeline are woollen mill weavers, and Earnest is an inspector at the wool mill and was unemployed one month.99

In 1901, they lived at Lakeview Avenue in Lowell near Beaver Brook mills. Alvin was a seaman in the USN, Annie T was a dressmaker, Emile was a spinner, Henry F was a weaver, and Luke was a shoe repairer.

In 1910, 61 and married for 39 years. Living in Charleston. Emigrated 1882? Farmer, owns his own farm (mortgaged). Son Emile, daughters Mary and Annie live with them along with Annie’s husband and daughter Isabella.100

In 1920, at 75, living in a house on Tracy Ave with his wife and children William, Marie, and Emile. They all gave their emigration date as 1882 (except William, born in Massachusetts). Owns his home, and is still an alien. Native language is French.66

In 1930, living with son Emile and daughter Mary and her husband. He is 81 and was married at 24. House (at S. Summit Ave) is worth $4000 and they have a radio. From French Canada, naturalized, and gives year of emigration as 1896.101
