144In 1880, he was 16 and lived at 215 25th St. with his parents John, 45, mother Gracia, 42, and siblings Angelo, 20, Joseph, 18, and Mary, 12. John is a barber. Their father is a cook in a hotel but hasn’t worked in six months, Angelo is a carpenter, and Joseph is a tailor. Only Mary can read and write.
145 In October of 1886, living at 377 Water Street when he is naturalized in the Common Pleas Court. He works as a barber, and gives his birthdate as September 5, 1865. Says he arrived in 1874. His father Giovanni Cavaliere, living at the same address, is a witness.
