In 1910, he lived with his parents in the Washington Forest Reserve, on the State Tractor Road in Trout District. William M is 50, Eliza 41, Percy D 18, Clayton E 14, George M 5, and William C is 3. William and Eliza have been married 20 years and 4 of 7 children survived. The youngest two boys were born in Washington. Eliza’s parents were born in Canada, Williams’ in ? and ?. Impossible to read what William and Percy do, but they work for someone else. The family owns its home, no mortgage.355

In 1917, he is 21 and lives in Maple Falls. He was born January 6, 1892* in Trout Creek, Michigan. He is a woodsman, working for the Chinn Timber Co in Maple Falls. His wife and child are dependents, which is the exemption he claims. He is tall, medium build, brown eyes, brown hair. There’s a note that he has a sprained foot.356

*He can’t be 21 in 1917 and born in 1892. Has to be 1896.
