In 1875, as Delbert, 8, he lives with his parents George, 37, and Philena, 38, in Minnesota. His siblings are Emma, 15, Euletta, 7, Eva, 4, and Clista, 2. George was born in Ohio, his father in Virginia, and his mother in Ohio. Philena and her parents were born in New York. The kids were all born in Minnesota.227

In 1900, he is living in Cleveland Township, Le Sueur, Minnesota. He is 33 and he and Annie, 26, have been married 12 years and lost two children. The surviving three are May, 8, Ruby, 5, and George R., 8 months. Edson was born in Minnesota, and his parents are blank, Annie and her parents were born in New York, and all three kids were born in Wisconsin. Edson works as a day laborer, and they rent their home. 228

In 1911, he is 45, a farmer, and living in British Columbia, Canada with wife Anna, 37, and children Ruby, 16, George Riley, 11, Victor Herford, 7, and Amy Jean, 2. They live in Township 16 in Subdistrict 31 of New Westminster (Chilliwack Riding, Sumas Municipality, Huntingdon, Abbotsford, and Campbell). They moved to Canada in 1906; Amy was born in British Columbia. They live in #5 on an unnamed street with two other people, Canadian Gabriel Cox, a carbner?, and Joseph Deller, a German laborer. Delbert says he was born in April of 1866, Anna in January of 1874, Ruby in Mar of 1895, George in October of 1899, Victor in July of 1903, and Amy in August of 1908. For ‘Tribal or racial origin, they are all listed as German, except for Anna who says American. They are Methodist.

In 1920, he is 53 and lives with his wife Anna, 45, sons George R., 20, and Victor H., 13, and daughter Amy G., 11. He does car repair in a machine shop. His house (on Bryant-Stemson Camp Road?) is owned free and clear.229

In 1930, he is 63 and lives with his wife, 55, and son Victor H., 24, and possibly a boarder named Anton Wagner, who is a 49-year-old real estate agent, originally from Wisconsin, who owns his own business. It’s unknown whether Edson owns or rents. His daughter May La. (sic), 37, son-in-law William H., 40, and grandson Adelbert, 20, rent nearby for $10. Edson is a farmer on his own rabbit farm. He was married at 21.67
