In 1906, Benjamin and his family arrived in Philadelphia. They came from Kiev by way of Liverpool, but had last lived in London and were on their way to New York. Benjamin, a farmer, was 33. Feige was 28. Their children were Etel, 11, Teme, 8, Israel, 7, Jacob, 5, and Aaron, 2. They were headed for Benjamin’s brother-in-law Leizer Jonah Matoss (?) at 167 Orchard Street.
In 1910, lived at 321 Georgia Avenue with his wife and seven children. He was 40 and worked as a driver for an express company. Fannie was 34, and they have been married 18 years. Daughter Yetta was 16 and worked as a tailor in a shop. Their other kids were Tillie, 13, Isidore, 12, Jakie, 9, Harry, 5, Morris, 4, and Dora, 8 months. They arrived in 1906. Dora was born in New York.
In 1920, lived at 331 Hinsdale Street in a rented apartment with his wife and five children. He was 48, had filed papers, and arrived in 1906. He worked as a plumber in the building industry. Fannie was 43 and an alien. Jack and Harry were 19 and 17, arrived in 1905 and were aliens. Jack was a chemist in the perfume industry and Harry was a driver for a laundry company. Morris, 10, Dora, 9, and Minnie, 8, were born in New York.
In 1930, he was 60 and lived with Fanny, 54, at 395? Hinsdale Street in an apartment they rented for $30. They were married at 25 and 19. They arrived in 1906 and had filed papers. He worked as a plumber. Son Murray was 24 and a laborer in the building industry. Dora, 20, was a laborer in a factory. Murray and Dora were born in America.
His son Jack, of 6801 Bay Parkway, hired the undertaker. A widower, Benjamin had worked as a plumber, and had lived in America for 30 years.
