In 1870, he was 15 and the oldest child living with parents William and Sarah in Owasco. William, 43, is a farmer and an American citizen. Sarah, 39, keeps house. The value of the real estate is $5,000 and their personal estate is $1,200. Alice 13, Minnie 3, and Frank is 8 months.528

In 1879-80, he worked as a clerk at Parkhurst Bros and boarded at 112 Adams. Edwin J was a teacher at the Franklin School and boarding at 129 Bridge in East Toledo. 529

In 1880 he is 24, lives in Owasco and works as a farm laborer. His father William is 53 and a farm laborer. Sarah is 50 and keeps house. Alice is 22 and teaches school, and Minnie and Franklin are in school. All children were born in New York.530

In 1884, he worked as a bookkeeper at Rice & Farington in Kansas City.531

In 1886-87, he lived in rooms at 105 e 12th and worked at the Great Western Laundry.532 In 1888-89, he worked as a card writer and roomed at 314 e 9th.533

From 1889-91, he lived in rooms at 9 e 8th and at Independence Avenue near McGee in Kansas City, Missouri. He worked as a driver for the K.C. Laundry Company and Excelsior Steam Laundry.

Living in Omaha, Nebraska in 1894 when his father died.

In 1895, lived in Syracuse at 711 Tully with wife Gussie and Austin O’Neil. He was a driver, she was a dressmaker, O’Neil was a foreman.534

In 1900, he is living with Gussie in Plainfield, New Jersey. He is 44, she is 38, and they’ve been married 5 years. They live in a rented house at 68 Somerset Street, with no children. He was born in New York in September 1855, she in Germany in August 1861. His parents are English. He works as a laundryman.535

In 1905, they lived at 83 North Street. In 1907, he received $10 in insurance money at that address.

In 1910, lived in a rented house at 83 North Street in Auburn. He is 54 and she is 43. They have been married 15 years and have never had children. She indicates she arrived in 1867. He is a painter at Osborne paint shop and she is a dressmaker, working for herself from home.536

In 1911, they lived on Academy Street in Auburn.

Lived in Wayne in 1919, when his sister Alice died.

In 1920, Eugene Tippett, 64, and Gussie, 53 (circa 1867), lived in a house they owned in Wayne Village in Tyrone Township, Schuyler County. He was a farmer who grew berries. He was born in New York to English parents. Gussie was born in Germany and indicated she arrived in 1866 and is naturalized.537
