In 1860, William and Sarah lived with their children Edwin J, Charles H, William J, Eugene W, and Alice J in Owasco, New York. He was 34 and a farmer, she was 29 and a housewife. The value of their personal estate was $845. They are both from England. Edwin is 7, Charles and William are 6, Eugene is 4, and Alice is 3. They were all born in New York.527

In 1870, William and Sarah lived with Eugene, Alice, William, and Frank in Owasco with Eugene, Alice, Minnie, and Frank. William, 43, is a farmer and an American citizen. Sarah, 39, keeps house. The value of the real estate is $5,000 and their personal estate is $1,200. Eugene is 15, Alice 13, Minnie 3, and Frank is 8 months.528

In 1880 he lives in Owasco and works as a farm laborer. He is 53. Sarah is 50 and keeps house. Alice is 22 and teaches school, Eugene is 24 and is a farm laborer, and Minnie and Franklin are in school. All children were born in New York.530
