540In 1880, lived with his in-laws in Owasco. Father-in-law Hoyt Hunsicker, 67, was a physician. Mother-in-law Lucy was 60, and sister-in-law Sarah was 37. Charles was 27 and a farmer, Katie was 24, and daughter Pearl was a month old. Sarah Voke, a servant, 21, also lived at the home.

In 1900, living with his family in a rented house at 45 Capitol Street in Auburn City. He was 46, Kate was 41, and they’ve been married 21 years with three of three children surviving. Pearl was 20, Ivan was 15, and Clayton was 4. He worked as a mason tender, and Ivan as a carpenter’s apprentice.
542In 1902, as Charles Tippets, he is listed as a mason in the Auburn directory, living at 3rd Avenue in Melrose. Ivan and Pearl are also residents. Frank S. Tippett is a salesman at 10 North, living at 100 Franklin.
In 1910, living with his wife, daughter and youngest son in a rented house at 52 Franklin Street in Auburn. He was 55, Kate was 51, and they have been married 31 years. He worked as a laborer. Pearl was 29, and Clayton was 14 and in school.
543In January of 1911, living at 40 Franklin Street when his mother-in-law comes to live.
In 1920, living in a rented house in Ledyard Township. He was 66 and working as a farmer, Kate S was also 66, Pearl B was 38, Ivan R was 35, and Clayton H was 23. Iva A, a granddaughter, was 7, and grandson Horace A Bishop was 4. Ivan was working as a machinist in a shop., and Clayton worked on the ‘home farm.’
