As Cristina de Pasqua, 20, single, arrived aboard the Kaiserin Maria Theresia in 1902. Passage was paid for by her future (?) husband “Grazio Ligotti” at 183 Elizabeth. Traveled with her father Antonio, 48, and Carmelo Zappardino, 25, a married farmer on his way to see his cousin Giuseppe “Ligotti” at the same address. Umberto Leonino is also on the ship, going to see his cousin Giuseppe “La Vita” at the same address.
In 1919, living at 234 Elizabeth St. Arrived aboard the SS Presidente Wilson with son Filippo, 8, on July 17, 1919. They list Palermo as their last residence, and her sister-in-law Giuseppa Matranga at Via Casa Nuevo 9 as the contact in Italy. Her place of birth is Castroreale. They are scratched out on this manifest.
56On another page of the manifest for the SS Presidente Wilson arriving July 17, 1919, Cristina, 35, is traveling with Filippo, 8, and Carmela, 16. Carmela’s date of birth is given as April 10, 1903 in New York. Filippo’s is not given but the place is listed as Elizabeth St. Cristina’s citizenship is through her husband’s naturalization at Newport News, VA in March of 1902.
Cristina di Pasquale applied for citizenship in 1955. The certificate was issued May 10, 1955 at the US District Court in Brooklyn. Address given was 7409 15th Avenue in Brooklyn, petition #53344. Birthdate given was November 11, 1884. Record #7433057. Alien registration #150 73?1
